As communicated previously, Activ Pathways had been advised of a national cyber security incident impacting the Canvas Learning Management System, which is used by approximately 9,000 education providers globally.
The information that was breached was limited to student’s names and email addresses. While no outcome can be guaranteed, Canvas have secured the return of the data, received assurances it will not be shared further, and obtained confirmation that all copies have been deleted to support additional peace of mind.
While there remains no indication that passwords, dates of birth, government identifiers, or financial information have been compromised, it is advisable to remain vigilant in assessing potential phishing attacks and to change your passwords should these be used across other applications or platforms.
